2-piece fly rods are tough to find these days, but we still make them. 2-piece fly rods have one ferrule. This means fewer weak points and more evenly distributed power, enabling you to get the most out of your high-performance rod.

While 4-piece rods are great for traveling, a 2-piece fly rod will consistently outperform a 4-piece. With fewer ferrules, there’s also slightly less added weight and fewer spots where energy is dampened during the cast, resulting in a more fluid casting cycle.

And if it's monster fish you're after, a removable fighting butt in our 7wt through 9wt, 2-piece models will help you stay in the fight as long as your rod can. A fighting butt helps you by bracing the butt against your body , reducing fatigue, and adding leverage for increased power.
