Founded in the honesty of a good old-fashioned handshake, Montana Casting Co.^® is committed to bringing you top-notch performance. That’s why we’ve created the Montana Handshake Warranty, a Limited Lifetime Warranty for our fly rods and reels. 

We understand accidents happen. Whether it’s a manufacturer’s defect or a poorly timed truck door, we’re here to repair or replace your broken rod or reel. Just send us your broken rod or reel and we’ll get you back on the river as soon as possible. That’s the Montana Handshake.

Montana Casting Co. Fly Rods and Reels Limited Lifetime Warranty

The Low-Down:

The Montana Handshake Warranty is a Limited Lifetime Warranty on Montana Casting Co.^® Fly Rods and Reels subject to the following conditions:

• You must have a copy of your original purchase receipt.
• The Montana Handshake Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner.
• Scratches and other cosmetic damage due to normal wear and tear that do not affect the functioning of your rod or reel are not eligible for repair or replacement under this warranty. 
• This warranty does not cover intentional damage, loss, or theft. Montana Casting Co.^® cannot repair or replace your rod or reel without receiving the original item.
• You are responsible for the cost of shipping the original product to Montana Casting Co.^® for repair or return.
• Montana Casting Co.^® will pay for return shipping via UPS or USPS (5-7 business days). If you want expedited shipping, you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. 
• If you make a warranty claim, your rod or reel will either be repaired or replaced. If the item cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a rod or reel of equal or greater value.  
• Any new rod or reel the consumer receives in exchange for a damaged rod or reel under the terms of this limited warranty is no longer covered for damage but is still covered for manufacturer’s defects. Any new rod or reel the consumer receives in exchange for a defective rod or reel is covered under the full terms of this limited warranty against both manufacturers defects and damage.
• If you would like to return or exchange something you purchased from us that is not covered by the Montana Handshake Warranty, please review our Terms of Purchase & Refund.
• All purchases made through our website are subject to our Terms of Service, Terms of Purchase & Refund, and Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, please contact us at gethookedup@montanacastingco.com or 406-285-1452.
• We reserve the right to amend, modify, or replace the Montana Handshake Warranty. The most recent version will be posted on our website.
  

Montana Casting Co. Custom-Built Fly Rods Limited Warranty:

Our Custom-Built Fly Rods Limited Warranty covers the repair or replacement of your Montana Casting Co.^® custom rod. 

• The Montana Casting Co.® Custom-Built Fly Rods Limited Warranty does not cover blanks from other manufacturers. Montana Casting Co.^® charges the original build fee to rebuild a custom rod using a blank from another manufacturer.
• If your custom rod was built using a Montana Casting Co.^® blank, Montana Casting Co.^® will either provide you with a quote for repair upon receipt of the rod or determine that it cannot be repaired, and that a complete rebuild is needed. If a rebuild is necessary, Montana Casting Co. will replace the blank, if necessary, and rebuild your rod for $600.
• Scratches and other cosmetic damage due to normal wear and tear that do not affect the functioning of your rod or reel are not eligible for repair or replacement under this warranty. 
• Warranty of the rod blank does not cover intentional damage, loss, or theft. Montana Casting Co.^® cannot repair or replace your custom rod without receiving the original item.
• You are responsible for the cost of shipping the original product to Montana Casting Co.^® for repair or return.
• Montana Casting Co.^® will pay for return shipping via UPS or USPS (5-7 business days). If you want expedited shipping, you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. 
• The Montana Custom-Built Fly Rods Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original owner.
