By purchasing any product or service on the Website, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy available at www.montanacastingco.com/pages/privacy-policy and Terms of Service available at www.montanacastingco.com/pages/terms-of-service, as each of them may be amended or updated.
We reserve the right change, add, modify, or remove portions of these Terms of Purchase at any time, which shall become effective as of the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms of Purchase prior to each use of the Website. By continuing to use the Website, you irrevocably agree to any modifications or changes to these Terms of Purchase.
1. Product Terms
We currently only sell products in all 50 United States and Washington, D.C., but not in any U.S. territories, APO/FPO, or other countries. The products listed on the Website are intended solely for your personal, non-commercial lawful use in your jurisdiction. You may not produce, duplicate, copy, resell or use the products for any commercial purpose, except that you may use the product in a guide or outfitting business that is licensed by the state in which you operate. We reserve the right to not sell or ship products to certain jurisdictions or to certain persons. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear on the Website. We cannot guarantee that your device's display of any color or image will be accurate. We do not warrant that the quality of any products or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations.
Certain products or Services may be available exclusively online through the Website. These products or Services may have limited quantities. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product made on this site is void where prohibited. If we determine after you make a purchase that some or all of the products you have ordered are not available, we will either refund the entire purchase or the portion of the purchase that is no longer in stock.
2. Order Submission
After you make a purchase on the Website, we will present you with a confirmation page and/or send you a confirmation email with an order reference number. You are obligated to review your email account (including spam/junk folders) to ensure that you received a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation page or email, please contact us immediately, as we may not have received the order correctly. Orders will typically be processed within 3 business days, though we do not make any promises or guarantees concerning the speed of processing an order. Please be advised that processing times may be delayed, especially around holiday seasons.
In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
3. Methods of Payment
We accept the following methods of payment for purchases made through our Website: Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, Paypal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We may add additional accepted payment methods, in our discretion, without updating these Terms of Purchase. All listed purchase prices are in United States dollars, and we do not accept foreign currencies or cryptocurrencies.
Products purchased on the Website are subject to all relevant taxes, shipping fees, duties, and other related fees or charges, whether imposed by a shipping company, government agency, or otherwise, each as applicable.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and (if you have registered a user account) account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
4. Shipping
We offer the following shipping options: USPS first class, USPS Priority Mail Express, USPS Parcel Select, USPS Priority Mail, USPS Parcel Select Large Package, USPS Parcel Select Oversized Package, UPS® Ground, UPS® 3 Day Select®, UPS 2nd Day Air®, UPS Saver®, UPS SurePost®. Shipping option names may appear differently at checkout. Product purchase prices exclude shipping and handling fees, for which you are responsible and which are non-refundable. We make no promise or guaranty concerning any carrier’s delivery time, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, are not responsible for any delays or other loss or damage to a product caused by any carrier.
5. Satisfaction Guarantee
Montana Casting Co. fly rods and reels purchased on this website, www.montanacastingco.com, are subject to a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with your rod or reel, simply return it to us within 30 days of receipt (the date shown on the tracking email announcing delivery of the package), and if it is eligible for return and refund, we will refund your money. To be eligible for a refund, you must have the original receipt from your purchase on our website, and the rod or reel must be in its original condition with no signs of damage.
For fly rods, all parts, including the rod itself, rod sock, case, and removable fighting butt/butt cap, if applicable, and accompanying fighting butt pouch, if applicable, must be returned in their original condition, with no visible signs of scratching, tears, or any other damage to any of the parts.
For reels, all parts, including the reel, reel spool, reel pouch, and original packaging (box) must be returned in their original condition, with no visible signs of damage to any of the parts.
To return an item covered under this Satisfaction Guarantee, please use our Returns Center at https://montanacastingco.returnscenter.com. If you have any issues with our Returns Center, you can contact us at returns@montanacastingco.com, and write “RETURNS” in the subject line. Customer will be charged for postage to cover returning the item.
6. Returns and Exchanges
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. Montana Casting Co.® fly rods and reels may be subject to our Montana Handshake Warranty, which you can find on our Montana Handshake Warranty Page and which you should review. Our rods and reels are also subject to our satisfaction guarantee outlined in Section 5 of these Purchase and Refund Terms, above. For everything else, we have a 60-day return policy, which means you have 60 days after receiving your item (the date the tracking email shows the package has been delivered) to request a return.
Returns:
To be eligible for a return within the 60 day return period, (or in the case of rods or reels, after the initial 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee Period and within 60 days of receipt of your rod or reel), your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the original receipt. Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as custom rods or custom rod packages, open packages of leaders, tippet or backing, and seconds). Rods and Reels that have been used are not eligible for return after the initial 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee period. Only rods and reels that have not been used and are in their original packaging will be eligible for return between 30 and 60 days from the date the item was received. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We do not accept returns for gift cards or on-sale items, unless the item is damaged or defective.
To start a return, please use our Returns Center at https://montanacastingco.returnscenter.com. If you have any issues with our Returns Center, you can contact us at returns@montanacastingco.com, and write “RETURNS” in the subject line. If your return is accepted, you will receive a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first using the Returns Center or requesting a return via email will not be accepted. We may require that you email us pictures of products to determine whether we will accept a return. Even if we agree to accept a return, we may not accept the return if, upon receipt of the item, it does not meet the eligibility criteria noted above or is different from any pictures or descriptions you send us. Exchanges:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. PLEASE BE ADVISED that processing times are estimated and not guaranteed and may be longer that estimated.
Refunds:
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
