"I was struggling to find a quality 2-pc 6-wt with a full wells grip that I prefer. Evidently I typed the right words into Google and found Scott at Montana Casting Co. He was willing to customize a 6-wt Dearborn with a full grip, for a reasonable extra fee. Scott did great work. I love this rod. I've fished 27 years around Oregon, Washington & Idaho with a tip-flex rod. The Dearborn has a bit more flex through the upper mid section and that took a minute to get used to. But I put this rod through all the paces -- delicate dries, weighted streamers, 2-nymphs w/ strike indicator, DT line, WF line with sink tip -- it preformed well in all cases. Hardware appears to be excellent quality and I appreciate the included rod case and sleeve."
