Description

The 7/9 version of our Lite 406 fly reel boasts 75 to 100 yards of backing capacity in a trail-ready 5.4oz package. Cutting weight doesn’t mean sacrificing control: a sealed disc drag system can be micro-adjusted with ease and a meticulously counter-weighted spool eliminates wobble when those monster trout set your reel to screaming. CNC-machined from a 6061-T6 aluminum alloy and carbon fiber, we’ve ensured that ultralight is also ultra-tough.

You can pair this versatile reel with your 7 through 9wt fly rod for breezy all-day casting or throw it on a 5 or 6wt rod if you’re in need of more backing. A woven carbon fiber finish makes for a handsome match with the Dearborn, but this reel is also a perfect lightweight addition to any of our fly rods.

This reel comes in a protective cloth bag and a 100% recyclable box. Like all of our reels, it can be easily converted from left to right-handed retrieve; watch the how-to video below or scan the QR code on your reel’s box for instructions.
